Meet Augustus
Augustus is a ten year old pit mix. Augustus was adopted from us about six years ago and recently found as a stray. His family was contacted and reported that he had been missing for five months when he jumped out of the back of a truck. His family reported that they wanted him back but then quit responding to our calls. Augustus was dumped by the family. We want Augustus’ nightmare of no longer being wanted by a family to be over and replaced with soft pillows and love.
Augustus is a very friendly and bouncy older gentleman who is ready to find a family to love. He seeks out attention and has a pitiful whine when he thinks that he is being deprived of attention, or food. He is a low energy fella and laughably looks like a camel when he runs. Augustus does fine with calmer dogs, but he isn’t interested in a lot of high energy doggie play during his retirement days. He does well with children. Cats are unknown.
