Meet Augie
Augie is the epitome of a "people dog". His goal in life is to seek out pets and snuggles. While Augie can often be found curled up on his bed, with just one throw of the ball he's off like a rocket and ready to play fetch until the sun goes down.
This darling boy will happily fall into a puddle at your feet and roll over for belly rubs. Augie is such a love-bug that he's been described by his foster as a "fan favorite"!
Augie finds noise and unpredictability unsettling and wants to be your one and only, so he would do best in a home without young children or other pets.
Are you searching for an adoring and loyal bff? Look no further than this lovable little hound dog. Augie is ready for you!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
