Lil Augi has had a pretty rough start in life. The first best thing that happened to him was a good Samaritan found him on the street. He was very neglected, seriously underweight, malnourished and severely matted. Because he was so seriously neglected he still has a lot of puppy behavior, we suspect a lot of his puppyhood was spent just trying to survive on the streets. He easily gained weight and is at a healthy weight now.
His Foster is working with him. He has a big canine sister and an old canine big brother as well as a cat to teach him some basic community living rules.
Augie is still a puppy we are getting to know. He’s very energetic and curious sweet & playful but still a bit shy. He warms up fairly fast to women, but is a little more timid with men. But once he warms up he is very affectionate, giving lots of kisses. Sometimes he gets a bit over excited and nips. But often he can be persuaded to chew on a toy instead. Augie is a very smart boy and has already learned how to fetch. He could be good in a home with other dogs or as the only dog. He’s also good with cats. He’s curious but respectful. Augie will make a wonderful addition to any family.
We think an ideal home for Augie will be one with an experience owner who can show him the world and give him the best life ever.
When we have more time, we'll take pictures but for now this is it in six months after good food to clean bed and TLC we won't recognize him from this picture.

We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers.
