Atticus Rat Terrier & Pointer Mix New Orleans, LA

Everyone say hello to Atticus! Atticus is approximately 25 lbs and 7 months old. If you’re looking for a pup with a BIG personality, look no further! Atticus has the personality of Alvin the chipmunk. You’ll often find yourself yelling “ATTICUS!!!” with this one.

This tiny troublemaker, who I think resembles Bartok the bat, usually has his right ear perked up. If I had to choose one word to describe him, it would be spunky. Atticus has the confidence of a 100lb dog. He isn’t intimidated by those bigger than him and will jump on their back, lead the zoomies, and slide under the couch. Atticus has found his voice, so he can be quite vocal when playing and sounds similar to a squeak toy. Atticus is amazing in his kennel and has kennel/potty training down. He is dog, cat, AND kid friendly!
Atticus is estimated to be medium sized fully grown. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.
Overall, if you’re looking for a furry friend that will bring you tons of laughs and entertainment… apply for Atticus!

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
