Atlas German Shepherd Dog Henderson, NV

A26414 Atlas is a red/tan with black and white colored, approximately 2-year-old, 61-pound, spayed female, German Shepherd.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 03-19-2025 due to the fact they were moving and could not bring her.
Atlas is a friendly, eager and excited girl here in the shelter. She is happy to greet you at the kennel door when you approach. Our staff describes her as a friendly, high-energy girl who loves to play and go for walks. Saying she would be a great family dog. She is a little head shy, making her a little difficult to leash. She does pull in excitement to be out for a walk. She loves people and happily greets everyone we meet during our walks. She does jump up on people for hugs and kisses, so she will need training on her manners. She will also need some command training as well as she does not respond to any commands. She is not a bad girl, just needs a little time, love and attention. She shows a friendly interest in other dogs, as if she wants to play, here at the shelter. The previous owner says she is not house broken, and has not lived with other dogs, cats or children. She did say she has started growling and barking defensively at other dogs. Although, we have not seen any aggression to other dogs, a meet and greet is recommended if there is another dog in the home. Atlas will be a fun-loving, family member in her new forever home.
