Six month old, 12# Atlas is truly a cuddly, well adjusted, Velcro puppy. Plus, he’s gorgeous! His blue coat is soft like velvet. He’s happy and playful and craves attention from his people. He gets along with his foster mom‘s dogs and has met a few other dogs, even big ones, with no problems. He’s currently on a raw dog food diet and doing well on it. He is almost completely potty trained to outdoors and puppy pads for bad weather. He sleeps in bed very nicely with his foster mom and her IGs, never wanting out in the middle of the night. He does ok on the leash but needs more work on leash walking to gain confidence as he hadn't ever been on leash before coming to his foster home. He has not eliminated on leash up to this point--he will need a fenced yard. Car rides are uneventful while he travels in a crate--he's a good boy. He is very friendly and social to adults but hasn't had exposure to children that we are aware of. We would like him in a home with another small, playful dog as he LOVES his dog friends and is always initiating play! He’s very good about being redirected when he is doing something he shouldn’t. A verbal "no" and he stops and once he is called over to foster mom, he gets petted. He does love toys and happily carries them all over the house. He is learning what are his toys and what are foster mom's toys and are off limits. He does well being crated for short periods of time and is doing well being left out with the other IGs in foster in a room with pee pads.

He has just been neutered and is fully up-to-date on all his vaccinations, is on HW preventative, and microchipped. This little guy will make someone a fantastic companion as long as you don’t mind him wanting to sit close to you most of the time when you are home. He truly loves the companionship of his person.

We are only looking for adopters who are in our immediate area of Nebraska, Iowa or South Dakota. Adopters will need to visit dog in the foster home and transport home. We do NOT transport dogs for adoption. All members of the household will need to be present at meet and greet including all dogs in the home. Our #1 goal is to find the best fit for each dog in our care so we will review all applications to find the best fit.
