This is Athena, a 2-year-old, 65-pound Boxer mix who is here to prove that looks can be deceiving. Sure, she looks like she’s just witnessed the extinction of pandas in every single picture, but don’t let that fool you! Athena is actually a total sweetheart who loves everyone and everything.

She’s a soft, timid soul who is 100% looking for zero trouble. In fact, she’s so sweet, she might just apologize to you for... well, existing. Her resting ASPCA face gives off major "sad girl" vibes, but we promise, she’s just trying to look as soulful as possible. Maybe she’s secretly a method actor prepping for a dramatic role? Either way, she’s beautiful, even if her pics make her look like she’s seen the world's last ice cream cone melt in the sun.

Athena would thrive in a home with another dog to show her the ropes, a fenced yard for those slow, meditative walks, and a soft dog bed where she can ponder life’s greatest mysteries (like how to better use that sad girl face to get way more treats). She’s ready to join a forever family where she can bask in the love and cuddles she so deserves.
