Athena German Shepherd Dog Rochester, NY

Meet Athena:
This gorgeous shepherd would love to be your fur baby. She was a lost dog that went unclaimed so we added her to our Rescue family and she is looking for her forever home. She is your typical German Shepherd and is very loyal to her person. Since she has been with her foster, she has been getting trained and is doing extremely well. She has learned your typical commands, sit, stay, down, drop it, and we recently have been leash walking her as the outside life is a bit overwhelming. She loves to be brushed and have her belly rubbed. She is so affectionate and loves to play with her ball and her toys. She has not met my resident dog and she may do well with a male dog her size with a proper introduction. As she is currently being trained this is one area we will be working on. She has not met any of my resident cats and she may do well with a proper introduction, however, as Shepherds are they have a high prey drive and would be better in a house without any cats. We are, also, working on introducing her to children. She is good with kids over 14. Athena is fully vetted.

This dog is being fostered in Rochester, NY by Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue and these animals are all housed individually with foster families.
