Hi there! I'm Astro, the most handsome paws-monaut in the galaxy, and I'm ready for a long-term "comet"-ment I enjoy playing with other dogs around my size, and I love to cuddle when I'm tired. Basically, I'm the sweetest, 1 1/2-year-old, 45-pound Basenji mix boy you could ever hope for.

I'll do just about anything for a treat, and that includes happily going to my kennel every night. I'm also perfectly potty trained! My ideal home will have a fenced yard to play and run off my young-dog energy. I'm not a fan of cats or tiny dogs, but I'd love to have a canine friend, my size or larger, in my forever home. I am fine with older, dog-savvy kids, and I would be happy to meet any kiddos in your clan before you decide whether I'm a good fit for your family. My forever family must be loving, patient, and kind. I may look all grown up, but I'm still a young man. An active family who will take me to lots of dog-friendly places would be awesome!

I am a graduate of the Pups for Parole training program. I learned all kinds of commands there, like sit, down, off, and stay. I now have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I've learned!
