This handsome guy was just released from a breeder and he came to us in pretty bad shape. After a good bath and grooming, he's looking like a million bucks! Aspen is a super sweet King Charles/Bernese Mountain dog mix that didn't let the first two years of his life bring him down. He loves people, dogs, and even cats! He plays gently with my smaller dogs, and he does great around children as well.

He's still new to living in a house, so he is going to need somebody that can be patient while he learns all of the rules. He is very good at learning, and has not had any accidents in over 2 weeks. He's not sure about leashes yet, but he is already getting better at walking one. He weighed in at a whopping 58 pounds, so his new family is going to have to continue his lower calorie diet and make sure he stays a bit active (52 lbs at last weigh in). He does have an intermittent limp on his back leg, but the vet thinks that this is due to his weight and will improve as he slims down. It doesn't seem to cause him any discomfort and he gets around just fine. He does struggle a bit with stairs, so a home where he won't have to do to many stairs would be ideal.
