Ashley is our single blonde of her group and the closest to her mama in terms of color!

Ashley joined the FFAA family after reportedly being tossed out of a car and picked up by a kind stranger. Due to limited kennels, it took a couple of weeks to open up enough slots to be able to accept the whole group, and we offered dog food as a way to ease the burden. Unfortunately we were not taken up on this offer, and when the day came for the puppies and their mom to come to their intake appointment, we were suprised to see how severely underweight they were as well as how shut down and scared they were. Some of the puppies even shrieked when they were gently touched. We won't ever know exactly what the truth of their situation is, but that's not our part anyways. What our job *is* is to make sure they're as happy and healthy as they can be! So we've taken the past few weeks to focus on building confidence, helping them find joy, and making sure they gain weight so they can grow and be the carefree puppies they're meant to be! And the difference is remarkable!

Ashley, along with Brittany, is more "introverted." But that doesn't mean she's not just as needy for pets and attention as the rest of her siblings! While Brittany is actively shy, Ashley does still take a little longer to warm up, but instead of bouncing around, you can find her leaning up against a human friend, looking into their eyes, or trying to worm her way into their lap.

Ashley and her siblings seem to be some variety of hound mix. That means that they're going to be independent thinkers with loud voices!
