Oh sweet Arrow! If you've ever wondered what resiliency looks like, she's the spitting image! This little girl came into our care at 12 weeks old, unable to use her hind legs. We were told that one of the children in the home had dropped her. She had a notable spinal fracture that we were hopeful could be surgically repaired, but unfortunately there was too much damage to the spinal cord for surgery to improve her mobility. Arrow hasn't let that stop her!

This girl has come so far and at 7 months old she is walking, running and even jumping! She is still working on mobility, balance and strengthening her hind end, but we are beyond impressed with this little girl's perseverance! Due to the fracture, she spent most of her puppyhood having to be on major exercise restrictions, but now that her fracture has healed, she gets to be a dog and boy, does she LOVE IT!

Arrow will remain on the small side. She is currently 30lbs and won't get much bigger than that. She can play and run and do all the things any other dog can do, but she doesn't have as much balance/stability in her hind legs. She is currently getting hydrotherapy, PT and rehab to continue to help build her muscles and balance. Arrow has some incontinence, mostly urinary, but is showing more and more ability to hold it and give cues as we work on her hind end strength. Diapers have been an easy fix for any anticipated accidents. She is also crate trained. Arrow loves to play with other energetic dogs! She absolutely adores all humans, children included and loves going on adventures with her people! She is a fearless, smart and confident little girl who hasn't let any of her differences slow her down! This girl may need some extra love and care throughout her life, but she is SOOOO worth it!
