Meet Arnold
Have you always wanted a handsome fluffy GSD as a best friend?! Well here is your chance,
Arnold ended up at an overcrowded shelter in Houston. He came in as a stray with a collar on so it was clear at some point he was an owned dog. After a couple of weeks he was added to the Euthanasia list. Thankfully a foster family stepped up so we were able to save him 15 minutes before his deadline.
Now on to the good part. Arnie!!
The best way to describe Arnie is fun. Like really really fun. He loves toys and will sit there and catch them for as long as you allow. He plays fetch and pretty easily releases the toy or ball back at your feet. He loves to shake his ear feathers and hop around when he has toys in is mouth and it is adorable. Someone cared about him at some point because he has had training and he loves it. He walks great on leash, knows sit, and lay down. He is a very hungry treat monster though and is still learning to take pupperoni's gently. For this reason we suggest a home with older kids because we can't be sure he won't steal a tasty snack right out of a littles hand.
Arnie is good with other dogs but to date hasn't has any exposure to cats.
Even though Arnold is an adult (2-3yrs old) he still has a good deal of energy and would benefit from a home that is committed to making sure he gets physical and mental stimulation. He does chill out when inside of the home and is always right by his foster;s side and ready to cuddle at a moments notice. He will be the most loyal and sweet best friend you could ever ask for.
Arnold is such an amazing pup and we just adore him. He is currently weighing in at 60lbs but is stiil underweight. We expect he will gain another 5-10lbs in order to be at a healthy weigh. If you think he may be your new best friend apply today!
