Gender: Male, neutered
Age/weight: 1 yr 10 mos / 78 lbs
Breed: Yellow Lab mix
Heartworm status: Neg
Medications/Injuries: None
Good with people? Seems to do better with women than men. He's unsure of new people.
Children? No. Archie likes it quiet, so no little ones or noisy teens
Dogs? Yes. Archie will need another dog in the home
Cats? Not sure
Other animals? Not sure
House trained? Yes
Crate trained? Yes. He is good in his crate as long as his doggie companion is nearby.
Energy level: Med. to Low He doesn't mind an occasional play session, but would probably prefer a cuddle companion.
Travel well? Good in the car
Favorite toy/activity: Belly rubs! He loves bones and toys and happily plays with them by himself.
Leash trained? Yes, but pulls when walking in a high dog activity area
Fence Required? Yes, Mr. Archie likes to go on adventures, so it has to be secure too.
Archie would thrive in a home with a big yard where he can run around and explore things. He knows Sit, Kennel and Come. He also knows how to use a doggie door and has been known to figure out how to open doors with handles. He loves to look out the windows but gets worked up if people are walking by the windows on the sidewalk so a house set back a bit from the street with sparse foot traffic would be best.

He must have a doggie companion - older is probably best. He does not like to be alone, but if he knows his doggie friend is nearby he's ok. He can get into trouble if left unattended (like chewing chair legs).

He prefers a home with little to no company. If you do have company just simply crate him.
