Meet Archie

Meet Archibald but we call him Archie. He is adorable and ever so great with all people.

Archie is believed to be a 3-year-old Shih Tzu poodle Boston terrier pug mix. He is also known as a swamp Donkey to get what he wants. Typical bossy little dog.

Archie is sweet but can be bossy, and active but easily calms down. Not hyper at all. But very playful and active. Archie has a big disposition and it's impossible not to notice him. He can be stubborn and act like a swamp donkey if he knows he can get away with it. He has his sweet tendency which makes up for his bullheadedness. Archie loves being part of the pack. He's learned so much already. He appreciates his quiet time and space, but when he plays, he plays his heart out. Even more, Archie loves his human. He is my coffee buddy. He sits patiently waiting quietly as we take in the morning while I enjoy my coffee.

Archie was an owner surrender. 3 homes in just under a year. Archie has learned he can scare humans and get what he wants by being a vocal butthead. It's all for the show! Silence Intimidation is his superpower. Being an asshole comes naturally, and with time and practice, he has mastered it. He is self-educated, too. It's easily learned when it gets you what you want. He is harmless tho! A fraud. No bite in his bark. He's learned it scares people into giving in. Smart little shit. That was the case until he came to us. Archie has been with us for 18 months. And has learned to be a dog, a good dog, too. He picked up potty training, learned how to play with others and to do so nicely, obeys willingly mostly, walks away when upset, and tones his attitude down tremendously. Archie is a butthead and a bully at most. But he is also so sweet, simple very playful, and ever so happy. He is also very food and praise-motivated. He appreciates snuggles and enjoys car rides in comfort and attention. Making him the easiest little dog to work with. It took him a minute to agree, but after months of proper care, his training followed and came easy. He is now the best groomed, great with cats and dogs, and excellent with all humans including kids. Nonetheless, he will try his antics. Just in case there's that 1 human who will believe his little heart is a beast. Archie is ready for his happy forever. A fenced-in yard with at least 1 playful dog is preferred, and daily walks to burn his energy and stimulate his greedy little bully mind. Archie just wants to be included respectfully. Archie has been around many kids of all ages and at once, too. And he did fine, but I feel better with respectful, older, mature kids.

Archie is available for adoption and will make a great addition to any active home.

He is outgoing and can be stubborn. But he is also sweet, sensitive, snuggly, cuddly, and wanting true love. Don't let his foolish behavior scare you off. He's harmless but don't tell him I'm letting it be known.

We are hoping he and Ms. Mable get lucky and are adopted together. They both are great buddies. But not bonded. So they can be separated. We will gladly honor a duo adoption fee. Archie is a cat dog of all ages and sizes, friendly, and loves all humans of all ages. However, older respectful children are preferred, if any. A fenced-in yard is best but daily walks are needed. Downtime for Archie is very important. He loves his quiet TV. Bing-watching "us" snuggle and cuddle chill time.

Archie is house and crate-trained and walks great on a leash. His recall is great too.
