Meet Archer - UPDATE FEB
I'm Archer! I'm a sweet boy who has a ton of love and fun to give. I found myself at the shelter after being left tied up to a tree. I have been waiting a new home since August, it's been awhile and I am starting to suffer the effects of kennel stress. The staff here say I am losing my spark.
Everyone here says that I'm a sweetie with a huge heart. I am a big ole love bug, just look at me with my volunter dog walker and our snuggles.
I recently was fostered over Xmas with one of my vets staff member. She had nothing but positives to report. I was well mannered, snuggled a lot, chased the wild bunnies out of the yard, did well meeting her friends and their kids.
I'm such a good boy who keeps getting overlooked, it's making me sad...
Information for Archer's new home:
Other Dogs - large female is best
Cats - strong no, failed cat test
Kids - teenagers, we recently tested with younger kids and Archer was nervous. Older kids would be a better fit.
Walks - easy walker, enjoys sniffing, walks well with female dogs
New People - warms up fast with cookies and baby talk
--------------------------------------------------------------------
At City of Vancouver Animal Services, we have a foster-to-adopt program whereby prospective new owners foster the adoptable animal for 30 days before committing to adoption. This ensures that both the new owner and the adoptable animal are well suited to each other.
Fostering for 30 days is free. If you decide to adopt, the adoption fee is $395.36. This includes:
-spay/neuter
-first set of shots
-one vet visit
-microchip.
-Bag of food
If you live in Vancouver, you will also need to buy a dog license.

**Please be advised that most of our dogs are strays, so we do not have background history on them****
