Archer Rat Terrier Mix East Lansing, MI

Hi there! My name is Archer and I am about 3 years old. I am a rat terrier mix weighing in at about 14lbs. I was really skinny when I was first rescued but now I’ve gained weight and am healthy!

Since my past is unknown we don’t know what I went through. My foster mommy and daddy had to work really hard to gain my trust when they got me. I was very scared and unsure how to be in a home. I was grumpy and scared but they didn’t give up! Now I follow them around and snuggle with them all the time! Oh and I love to give them lots of kisses too!

I love going outside and sniffing around. I would love a fenced in yard so I can explore and enjoy the outdoors. I love to play and toys are the best! My foster home has doggies and kitties. They have big dogs and little dogs, it doesn’t matter to me what size they are I love them all. I am curious what kitties are. I don’t chase them but I can’t figure out why they don’t want to play with me. So a home with kitties is fine as long as they can handle my curiosity.

Since I have a hard time trusting, I will need someone with patience to understand I’m a good boy but I feel a need to protect myself until I learn you won’t hurt me. Because of this fear I need a home with no kids!

I am neutered, up to date on all shots, current on heartworm preventative, and microchipped.
