Meet Amazing Annie-NH, a gorgeous 3 month old female red and white parti Standard Goldendoodle puppy, who is in an IDOG foster home in Durham, New Hampshire.

***You can use one application for any of the 4 female puppies - Annie-NH, Hallie-NH, Gabby-ME, Tillie-ME. Please indicate your preferred dog. We will not adopt them to the same family due to Littermate Syndrome.***

*You must complete our adoption application fully. If you choose not to answer all of the questions in the application, your application will not be considered. We will review your application & email you if you made our short list of applicants for Annie. Please respond within 24 hours if you receive an email from us about making our short list.

*You can check the status of her adoption at www.doodles.petfinder.com or any of our social media pages. We will change her status to adopted when she is adopted.

*We base our adoption decisions on what is in the best interest of our dogs. Please note our adoption policies are in place for the safety and welfare of our dogs. We are all volunteers and have jobs, families, pets of our own to care for. We do the best that we can to get back to you in a timely manner. We believe in taking time to go through our thorough process to try to match the dog with the best fit for that dog.

*You must be approved to adopt Annie before we will schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs.

*AGE: approximately 3 months old (born February 2023)

*WEIGHT: 18 lbs right now. We can’t guarantee the adult weight or size of Annie but think she is going to be a Standard Goldendoodle in the 45-50 lb. range as an adult.

*FENCE REQUIREMENT: A physical fence is not required but recommended. No electronic/invisible fences, or e-collars will be allowed.

*COAT TYPE: We have no way of predicting what type of coat she will have but she appears to have a lower shedding coat. You should be prepared to have her groomed regularly (every 6-8 weeks) with an estimated cost of $100/groom.

*ENERGY LEVEL: Medium puppy energy. She’s our regal and calm girl, who loves getting the zoomies and running around for 20 minutes before settling down again. She’s curious, independent, loves exploring, and has been very receptive to corrections the few times we’ve had to stop her from chewing on something. She seems to be a quick learner. She’s not clingy, and is equally happy snuggling or lying on her own nearby.

*DOGS: She gets along well with the dogs in her foster home, and she wants to play with them. Thus far she hasn’t annoyed our older dogs, and is receptive when they correct her puppy playfulness. We will not place her in a home with an older dog who would likely be annoyed by her puppy energy. Due to the intense, playful nature of puppies, she would be best placed with dogs with a similar desire to interact and play.

*CATS: unknown.

*KIDS: Yes! She has only met teenagers, but she’s been wonderful with them so far. She hasn’t yet learned the bad habit of jumping on people, so we think she would likely do well with kids of all ages.

*CAR: She does very well in the crate in the car. She didn’t potty in her crate on the 7 hour drive to New Hampshire. She is very quiet in the car and seems to enjoy a car ride.

*CRATE: She willingly goes into her crate and is very calm, with minimal barking. She sleeps in her crate at night. She will need some transition/training when she goes to her forever home.

*HOUSE TRAINED: Work in progress. Her new family should be prepared to put the work in to train her. They should be patient & understanding that she is just a baby & WILL have accidents.

*LEASH: She has limited leash experience, but has been good the few times she has been on leash. Her adopters should be willing to work with her on getting accustomed to leashes/walking.

Some adjectives that describe Annie are: Inquisitive, smart, sweet, loving, playful, and adventurous.

Some activities she enjoys are: playing with other dogs, exploring, chewing on bones and squeaky toys, and meeting new people.

Annie is very inquisitive and she has adapted well to her collar and leash. She loves to explore her surroundings but is also very attentive to her humans when outside. She will explore but comes quickly when called. She does well with our two older dogs. We feel she would do well in a home with other dogs and seems comfortable being with or without people around her. Because she came to us with a littermate, we have not seen what she is like alone, and she may need some time to get used to that if she goes to a house without another dog.

Annie is excellent in her crate, and in the car, and hasn’t had any car sickness issues. Housebreaking is a work in progress. She loves to go outside on a leash, and usually quickly does her business.

Due to the intense needs of puppies, we will require adopters to be experienced dog owners with someone home during the day, so she is provided with human interaction while continuing to work on house & obedience training. We are looking for adopters who understand the training, exercise & socialization needs of puppies as well as the safety precautions that must be followed until she is fully vaccinated.

Because she is so young, it is not possible to determine what temperament she will have as an adult. Also, we are unsure of the final coat type she will have, so only adopters that can tolerate a shedding coat will be considered. As she matures, her natural disposition and coat type will emerge. Annie will require training and to be spayed by 9 months of age – these expenses will be covered by the adoptive family.

Annie has seen the vet and has received dewormer, heartworm/flea tick preventives, her second set of vaccines (DAPP, Bordetella and Rabies), and is microchipped. She will need boosters over the next few months and is not fully protected against diseases until 2 weeks after her last set of boosters.

She should NOT be allowed to have her paws on the ground except in a fenced backyard where no unknown dogs have been. She cannot be around any unvaccinated animals – the risk of Parvo is very real. Parvo can live in our soil for at least a year. Care must be given to protect her – she cannot go to pet stores, on walks in the neighborhood, etc. If you are not willing to make that commitment for the safety of Annie, please do not apply.

IDOG will hold a $200 spay deposit. The adopter will be required to spay her by 9 months of age. You will need to send the vet receipt to IDOG and we will then refund the deposit. If you fail to get her spayed by 9 months of age per the adoption contract terms, you will be required to return her back to IDOG Rescue.

ADOPTION FEE: $650 adoption fee + $200 refundable spay deposit to be refunded upon proof of spaying by 9 months of age.

2 years - 4 years: $350 and up
4 years+: $250 and up
Special Needs fee/donation assessed on individual basis
Puppies have a higher adoption fee to help IDOG cover the vetting and expenses of the other dogs in IDOG whose adoption fees do not cover their expenses.
