Meet Angelina Jolie … aka AJ and JoJo
She’s about 6 years old and 60-ish pounds. She is also UTD on shots, spayed and current on preventatives. AJ loves people, y’all, especially kids! She is affectionate and LOVES being petted. AJ is housetrained and not destructive at all. She enjoys chew toys and bones and respects others’ belongings. She is a smart girl and knows some basic commands (sit, stay, gentle) – she seems eager to please too, so would surely work for treats (she does enjoy treats!). She’s got a nice even energy and will happily nap next to you all day or join you for a stroll. She leash walks beautifully and hasn’t shown any interest in squirrels, birds, etc. that is passed while walking. While she hasn’t been “cat tested” she hasn’t shown any interest when she sees outdoor cats. Dogs – meh, she could take them or leave them. This is also understandable as she was stuck in that NC shelter in a small kennel with three other dogs for some period of time. It was a terrible situation and we have since learned the other dogs beat up on her. Since we’ve had conflicting reports of her dog preference it is recommended that she is considered to be a solo pet, at least initially, or slow introductions with experienced handlers when the time comes.
