Good with cats: Nope, those are super fun chase toys and Andy's prey drive is too high to be safe with feline friends.

Meet Andy!

Andy is an approximately 1.5 year old Black Mouth Cur mix pup. He found himself at a very high kill shelter in GA. He waited and waited and his people never came to claim him. The shelter said his time was up, they were out of space and he was set to be Euthanized. Andy was saved just in time and had been adopted, however, after his adoption who had resident cats, we found out that Andy has really high prey drive and it is not safe for the kitties for him to remain at that home. It was a tough decision for his owners who love him so very much, but we need to make sure everyone is safe!

Andy is loving, sweet, and energetic. His knows his commands include sitting, laying down, giving both paws, staying, and speaking. Andy LOVES people, he's always wanting to cuddle and be close. Since leaving the shelter life, he has learned that sleeping with his humans in bed is AWESOME. Andy is also FANTASTIC with kids of all ages, he is currently in home with a 2 year old and he loves her so very much.

Andy loves to play tug, fetch, and he loves sensory toys like a Kong stuffed with treats. He loves running and being around dogs who are similar to his size. Due to his strong prey drive we recommend dogs his size or a little larger and think he'd do best with no smaller dogs.

Davinci really just wants to always be with you, whether you are headed out on an adventure or staying home and cuddling up on the couch or in bed - so if you’re not into dogs on the fur-niture, he might not be the dog for you.

The adoption fee is $550.

All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!

Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line.

We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview.

You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.
