Meet Amelia
We met Amelia when she was spotted running across Hwy 152 near Will Rogers World Airport. She went under the fence and so with permission from the airport, we set a trap and a camera at the site she went under, and that evening we had Amelia safely caught! Her leg was clearly broken.
We attempted to repair the break with a plate and a pin, but it failed, so we amputated and put Amelia through some physical therapy to build up strength inner other legs and to learn how to function as a tripod.
She is an athletic girl, who loves to go outside and chase a ball. She is perhaps a little to active for those with children, as she may bump into and knock them over in her excitement. She is leash trained and VERY well potty trained as well. She's the MOST loyal dog who wants only to please her person. Her eyes are ALWAYS on her "person"! She. is an "alpha" dog, so those with a submissive male dog would be at the very top of her list. SHE ALSO LEAVES CATS ALONE!!!!!! She would also be great as an "only dog" if you are a one dog home.
Amelia has had NO applications and that is a damn shame. We must believe that someome is reading this and thinking she's their gal-you have only to reach out to meet the most perfect girl!
Amelia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, on heart worm prevention and ready for a FOREVER home. Please make sure you are prepared for it to BE a FOREVER HOME. Please, if you do not have a privacy fence, do not apply for Amelia, We also strongly advocate for our dogs being family members, and not "outside dogs".. Amelia is crate trained and crates very well when you leave the house.
