DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Calling all you Beagle lovers! You must meet Amadeus! He was found stray in Alabama along with his brother, Artemis, and his sister, Aragon. He is shy at first but warms up quickly and is very friendly, gets along famously with other dogs and is good with kids and cats. He loves a good roll in the grass and a good snuggle on the couch. He is surprisingly quiet (considering that he's a beagle! ) Unfortunately, Amadeus is positive for heartworm, but K-9 Lifesavers is providing treatment and he will be back to his old self in no time. With his amiable nature and love for people and his handy size he will make a wonderful addition to most any family. Could it be yours? Submit an application today!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
