Alfredo Labrador Retriever & Boxer Mix Scranton, PA

Meet Alfredo! This sweet boy was recently rescued from the euthanasia list at a high kill, southern shelter. The shelter was full and he was there too long. This is oftentimes the story with these unfortunate dogs who find themselves in harms way even though they are amazing dogs.
Isn’t Alfredo a hunk? This handsome, sweet boy arrived as a stray in March.
He is estimated to be between 1 and 2 years of age and he weighs about 56 lbs. He is very friendly with people, good with other dogs and he is very gentle with children. We are unsure about cats at this time.
Alfredo is a good boy, is a gentle treat taker, walks well on a leash, and shares resources nicely with others. Because of overcrowding issues, he’s been kenneled with male doggie friend Manning, and they get along fine. He met spirited Sadie during play groups and was very tolerant of her jumping on and around him; it didn’t bother him at all. He is an all around very good boy and would be an awesome addition to just about any family.
Alfredo has already been neutered and he is up-to-date with vaccinations. He recently tested positive for heart-worm disease but he is scheduled for treatment in early September. That puts him looking at an early October transport assuming that there are no complications with his treatment.

Alfredo has found his "forever" home. His new name is "Pharaoh" and he will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of his life in Scotch Plains, NJ.
