Alastar is one of our puppies that was found on Route 11 and brought into us. He is very shy and timid. He will need a lot of training, understanding and time to become the dog he should be. He is neutered and updated on vaccines. He does not move around his cage much and seems very scared of us, we are trying to work with him to become more outgoing. When meeting him he will not be the puppy to come up to you, he will be hiding in a corner as far away as possible. He is estimated to be only 6 months old so he has a lot of time to come out of his shell - we just need to find the right family to help him out.

Once you submit an application online, it will be reviewed and our adoption coordinator will be in contact with you. This may take a couple days, especially with puppies, we tend to get more applications on puppies to sort through, so please be patient. Successful adoptions and placement of our animals is taken very seriously here at CCHS so, not every application will be approved.. We must make certain that each animal is placed in a home that best suits the needs of the animal and the needs of the family and home where the animal is being placed. As always, if you have another dog in the home, we do REQUIRE a meet and greet prior to final decisions being made by all parties involved. This has proven to be best for the animal and the potential adopters in attempts to prevent issues once getting your new pet into their fur-ever homes, as much as we love each and every one of them, we don’t want them to get returned.

Our animals come up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed/neutered, however, we always recommend taking any new pet to your primary veterinarian for a well check to get them established for routine care.
