Meet ADDIE
MEET ADDIE…and she is a little, precocious mix of ShihTzu/Lhasa and Maltese: The eyes of a Shih Tzu, body length of a Lhasa and hair like a Maltese. But, you will probably have to do a DNA on her to find out for sure!! P.S. These pictures are pre-makeover. She has kennel cough so we can’t get her groomed yet, but we wanted to show how adorable she is! Hopefully, she’ll be at adoptions on Sunday!
Addie came from the San Bernardino County shelter, absolutely terrified. They made her rescue only, even though she had never bitten anyone, because she was so scared. She can be reactionary but not aggressive. If you hurt her (like combing out a matt) she will react and get mad, but only for a second!
Addie seems to be potty trained, as she has only had couple of accidents and on PP pads, but we never guarantee. When walking on a leash, she wants to run and she pulls…so she will need training for this. She is uber active and runs like a bunny, so she would like to go to a home with another dog and a yard! Addie is a bit dominant so she might hump to exert her alpha attitude, but listens to correction. She is okay for a few hours with another dog but she does not have separation anxiety. Just learning what toys are and wants to further explore!! She is a good eater and isn’t fussy, but she does get the best food!! Because she is so active and playful, she would be great with older kids and probably wouldn’t be a good fit in a senior home. If you are looking for a happy dog to “ADDIE to your home….” this might just be your girl!!
