Meet Addie
Please meet Addie! This little cutie is an 8 month old, 12 pound Jack Russell Terrier mix who is is in need of a new home. Addie was surrendered to our rescue by an elderly lady who adopted her as a young puppy, but unfortunately, as she grew, her energy became more than the lady wanted to handle. She is now receiving plenty of TLC and playtime in a kind foster home while she waits for a place to hang her leash forever.
Addie is an active, affectionate little lovebug who adores her people. She will lie across her foster mom’s chest whenever she has the chance and LOVES to snuggle under the covers. She is house trained and does okay in a crate. She also has been fine on a leash on the rare occasions that she has been leash walked. She’s great around kids and other dogs! She’ll bark at the cats in her foster home, but runs away from them when they let her know they’re tired of her...LOL.
Sweet Addie is classified “special needs” because has had a few minor seizures, but none serious enough to require daily medication. The seizures have been precipitated by yelps and the vet believes this may be from pain in her neck. She was given prednisone, which did seem to make a difference in the onset of pain. She also shows a bit of a stiff-legged gait in her front legs. Unfortunately, there seems to be no good explanation for these issues. She is a healthy, happy little girl most of the time.
Addie is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccinations. She’s also on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. If you would like to open your heart and home to give this darling special pup the happy life she deserves, please email. Nancy at campellones58@gmail.com for an application and she’ll get one right out to you. Her adoption fee is $350.
