Meet Acorn

Meet Acorn! Acorn came to CCHS when she was abandoned just down the road from the Shelter with 8 other dogs. She is about 6 months old, weighs 25#, and has now been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Acorn is a typical happy-go-lucky Beagle. She is friendly and quite social with people. She has a tri-colored short-haired coat with soft floppy ears. She has those super engaging warm brown eyes, too. Acorn is hoping to find a new forever home soon, and she promises to share lots of good times with her new family. With all young dogs, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the adoption. Apply for Acorn today!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $300. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
