Ace is an approximately 1 year old, neutered, Border Collie mix. He is an extremely loving dog who just wants to go wherever his humans go. True to his breed, he can get excited about just about anything, and he loves to have a “job” to do, whether it’s herding his people inside, learning to sit or just chasing a toy around the backyard. Ace definitely has herding tendencies and needs a family with lots of energy and time to devote to his training and exercise.
This silky-furred pup is still learning his manners, especially ones that involve keeping all four paws on the ground. He loves to jump, and he still has some puppy mouthing tendencies. However, he’s slowly learning that a polite “sit” will get him much more attention. Ace loves to romp and play with other dogs. He would love a home with canine siblings around his age, but that's not required. Regular playdates with other dogs would suffice, as well as visits to the dog park visits and/or lots of long walks and hikes.
This sweet boy will celebrate his one-year birthday 6/23/2024. His birthday wish is for a family with whom to share his antics. He would be best in a home without small children, but older children are fine. He’d be fine with young children once he’s a bit more trained and reliably calm around people. Ace is also fine around cats. He will definitely show interest, so fearful cats may not get along well with him. He shouldn’t be with small or senior dogs who don’t like to romp and play.
