We are a foster-based rescue. You will need an appointment to meet the animal where they are being fostered, with an approved application. Home checks and vet references are required for all adopters. Please only apply if you can pass a home check.

MEET Ace!

Oh, Ace, where to start!

We have known this boy since November 2022 when we took him off a hoarding site. At which he was neglected and living in horrible conditions. Ace is estimate to be almost 2 years old now. We took 32 dogs off that hoarding site and then asked for help from other rescues. We want these dogs to get the best care possible and if all 32 stayed in our care we would be spread to thin to really work with and help these dogs grow. Another rescue stepped up and took Ace in. They even found him an amazing home with people that truly love him. Unfortunately his adopters quickly realized that Ace was not meant to be an only dog and while they were making due, they were both set to go back to work full time and when they would leave Ace alone he would become anxious and chew on things. His adopters said no problem and got Ace chew toys and he did great and would chew on those, but his adopters knew that was not really what Ace needed. What Ace needed was a friend and they just weren't able to provide him with that so they contacted the rescue they adopted him from but unfortunately that rescue has since closed so they were directed back to us. We willingly took our boy back. We have had some adoptions since he was transferred out of our care so we are able to foster him now and continue to work with him.

Since having him back I can already tell that this boy has come miles from that scared puppy cowering in the mud. Yes, he is still timid and a little jumpy but he loves attention now. Ace will gently take treats from us, happily accept pets and even hugs! Ace walks great on leash and enjoys going for walks but is very focused and on high alert while in new settings. Ace loves water, his favorite thing to do is play in his water bucket and if that water bucket ever becomes less than half full you can guarantee that bucket has now become a toy and he will happily trot around the yard carrying it.

Ace needs a loving home that is understanding of his past and is willing to put in the time to win his trust. This boy has more love to give than any other dog and he wants your love and affection more than anything else. He just isn't quiet convinced yet that people have his best interest at heart. Ace needs another dog friend in the house, to help him learn to trust and to keep him company.

Ace is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

He requires a fenced yard.

Ace is currently being fostered in Rochester. If you are interested in meeting Ace, you will need to travel to the Foster's location in Rochester.

Ace's adoption fee is $250.

An approved application and an appointment is required.
