Abby the 28lb Puggle is soon-to-be 13 years old (Nov. 14) and we would love for her to be in her forever home to celebrate!

So what does Abby enjoy? Food, walks and pets! Is there anything else worth living for?! And, by the way, she's fantastic on leash.

She's never had an accident in the house and is fully crate trained.

Abby has recently become more of a "go with the flow" lady and is content to enjoy the outdoors and likes squeaking her toys.

While Abby enjoys the company of other dogs, she is in her retired-state-of-mind and loves the rest and relaxation lifestyle with some active time spent working on food puzzles or agility obstacles, but is well past her play with other dogs stage. She would co-exist well with calm dogs who share this same lifestyle choice.

Abby does well with cats and leaves them be and would be fine in a home with older kids if there are any.

She may be up in years, but that just means she is that much wiser! She loves mental stimulation like food puzzles and learning new tricks. She has conquered sit, stay, leave it, come and down.

And get this... Abby FLOSSES HER TEETH. Granted, she needs the help of us humans with our opposable thumbs and all, but still. How many humans do you know who enjoy flossing their teeth?

This senior girl is in perfect health besides some seasonal allergies, and even had a dental in March.

Abby is a very sweet little dog and we guarantee after a few minutes in her company, you will fall in love!




Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.

Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Abby has been available for at least 60 days; we have extended our adoption radius from 75-miles to 100-miles outside Minneapolis, MN City Center or, distance at the foster’s discretion. If you are outside of the 75-mile radius, the guidelines are as follows:

1. Any post-adoption vet care that Pet Haven would cover financially needs to be done with one of our partners in the metro area
2. Any post-adoption continuation of already enrolled behavioral / training that Pet Haven would cover financially needs to be done with one of our partners in the metro area
3. Applicant will need to come to the metro area for a meet and greet with foster parent and dog; if there is another dog(s) in the applicant's home, dog(s) will need to accompany owner to the meet and greet in the metro area
4. Home visit needs to be completed either by video chat or through another rescue in your area
5. Adopter will need to come to the metro area to pick up their new family member if adoption process completed / approved
