Charlie #22-197. Arrived 5/10/2022 at 9 years old.
Charlie was surrendered to us through a court process after he had been seized and the owner charged with state animal neglect charges. While that is still a pending court case, Charlie has been cleared to go up for adoption.
Charlie has been declared a dangerous dog in court twice due to owner irresponsibility that lead to him injuring dogs when he was not on leash. Charlie needs a new home outside of New York. Charlie will need a secure fenced yard where he doesn't get stimulated seeing dogs walking by his house and where he can't dig under or get over the fence. He will need self closing locked yard gates that will remain secure. Charlie needs to be retrained not to build even more upon a drive that he has already succeeded in, with bad behavior. Charlie has great manners, skills, and he even knows his basic commands. Charlie will make a wonderful companion, in the RIGHT home. Charlie is affectionate and loving. He thoroughly loves attention from the people who surround him. Charlie got a bad wrap because he was in the wrong hands and we really hope for him to spend his senior years and experience life in the right hands. We have all become very attached to this guy, and he deserves someone else to share in the joy that he brings us.
