Reason for being at shelter: Owner surrender - can't keep

Description: Zaza is a large lady who is in need of a fixed feeding schedule to help her loose a few pounds. A bowl of wet food or a scoop of kibble morning and night would be an ideal diet for this fluff ball as she discovers that being a little smaller will help her be more comfortable. Zaza is slow to trust but with a window for sunshine and after feeding her for a while she has started warming up to our kennel techs. Zaza spent her whole life with one owner and doesn't seem to like the other cats in her room but she leaves them alone and they do the same so we know she can coexist with other kitties. A home with the understanding and patience to help this kitty take her time to trust and get to know her new owners is essential as she takes AT LEAST a few weeks to warm up to new people.

Update: Zaza has decided we are all friends now and likes to follow us around and ask for head pats and pets. It may take her time but she loves attention once she trust you.
