Meet Zac (Special Needs)
Zac is a 3.5-year-old sweetheart looking for his forever home!
Hey There! Thanks for coming to read all about me!
My name is Zac, and I’m a 3.5-year-old special needs guy and, as you can see, I'm ridiculously handsome ha! I'm also super sweet, extremely happy-go-lucky, and love to give hugs and kisses! I enjoy snuggles and sitting on your lap, helping you read a book or watch your favorite show! My purr is soooo noisy because I'm soooo happy, I will never leave you wondering if I love you, because I already do and always will.
I love a specific crunchy toy to chase around and a wand toy with just a ribbon on the end that I love to hunt down and fly around to chase. I do perfect kitty wiggle butts before pouncing, and my eyes get so big when I'm "hunting" that you won't be able to help but laugh! There is no lack of personality here!
I love all creatures, though I haven't met a dog I have no doubt we would be tons of fun. I like other cats, but because I'm in my own space most of the time (will explain) I can sometimes be a bit overzealous in my initial excitement and end up upsetting another kitty who isn’t confident and patient. I'm not-so-great with kids under 10 years old though.
I am a special needs kitty and I think it's important that you know everything you need to know! I've been x'rayed and seen specialists, I've had the chance to grow up and see if there are some changes, and I’m on a special food to help me with my special need. The doctors are not SURE exactly what I have, but is essentially similar to a tail pull injury where I've lost some nerve function and control in my backend including both urinary and fecal incontinence.
Here's the deal, with the help of the right food, I have become pretty regular with my poo's, and while I know to use the box it doesn't always remain IN the box after I run out if you know what I mean. This is easily cleaned up on a cleanable floor/space. I do leak a bit as well so I know I can be a bit messy/smelly, but I promise you I don't really understand that there is anything wildly different about me!
I have my own room that is set up specifically for me and for easy cleaning, and the less space helps me use my litter box for potty most of the time! However, I can dribble a bit as well, so have very small potty accidents. Because of the leaking, it would be recommended for a more often than once a year check for UTI/crystals in my urine to ensure that I am staying tip-top healthy!!
Foster mom manages my needs with daily spot cleaning of my backend with baby wipes, weekly cleaning of my room, as-needed baths and sanitary shaves, and a circulation of easily washable blankets over plastic covered items or easily cleanable items, and a little cleaning corner in my room to keep things simple, all of which she's happy to show you! I know I've got a lot going on, but my happiness and gratefulness make it all worth it. I promise!
What I really need is for someone to see me for who I am, love me despite my flaws, and not mind putting in a little extra work for a return in boundless love from me! You can check out more of me on my special Instagram page Zac_a_poo.
Please put in an application to get your initial questions answered if interested, this does not bind you to anything other than learning a little more about me, and we can go from there! I KNOW my special people are out there!
