Meet Winston
Winston is my name. But in my foster home, they call me Dax or Mr. Man.
Being an almost 9-year-old cat, I am surprisingly playful. I love to talk and make a precious murking sound when touched. I also answer when you speak to me.
I am pretty shy but am becoming more comfortable in a family environment. My first several years were in a home with lots of other cats with not nearly enough attention. With my patient foster family, I have learned the joy of being loved, and I can’t wait to find my forever family to share the rest of my life with. I am indeed a gentle giant weighing in at about 16 lbs. Due to my large size, I am difficult to pick up and am not too fond of being carried either. I just want to be around my people. I would prefer a quiet, patient home with adults and older children.
When I was younger, I had stomatitis, a condition where my gums got enflamed from an autoimmune response to the plaque on my teeth. I had some of my teeth removed which allowed my gums to heal. So far, I have not had a reoccurrence of this condition. I really love wet food-it is just easier for me to eat but I also eat dry food.
I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. There is a $100 adoption fee. I am looking for a forever home for me to live out the rest of my life. Please email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com if you would like to meet me.
