Willow Turkish Angora & Domestic Long Hair Mix Watchung, NJ

Poor Willow has been moved around way too much in her 11 months (as of Feb 20). This absolutely stunning girl is originally from South Carolina, she found her way to Ct. There she was adopted to a single mom with a young child in Summit NJ. Problem is they had no cat experience. They expected that Willow would be outgoing and front and center right away.

Willow did not do well in that Summit home. So the owner called us after having her a short week. They asked if we could get her into a carrier so she could be returned to the rescue in CT. They were afraid to do it themselves. So we went. Only to find a cat that wasn't mean, just insecure and scared. Willow has been tossed around so much. When we tried to get her, she was playing but she plays rough, no one ever tough her how to play. We decided to take her and give her a chance.

She enjoys petting but when she's done she will tell you. She won't hurt you, she just swats or nips but not in an aggressive way, the adopters did not understand that.

Willow shows no aggression with other cats around her. She has been exposed to them in SC, CT and in NJ. She NEEDS a cat buddy to show her the way.

She needs an experienced home and a home with another cat who can help her learn how to play correctly. She really needs stability. Willow has a ton of potential to be a great pet for someone with cat experience.

No adoptions over 30 miles from Union County NJ. No out of state. Kittens must go in pairs unless you have a young cat at home. Due to the volume of requests, Inquiries that do not match this criteria will not have a return reply.

We have plenty of young adults who would love to be single cats. Please ask for their information.
