Wesleyan was rescued as a stray. He is currently in a foster home in Berlin. He is a very friendly, affectionate kitty who enjoys attention. He is not comfortable around other cats and dogs, and would prefer to be an only pet.
Wesleyan suffered a traumatic injury in the past (possibly hit by a car), resulting in a fractured pelvis. Here are some notes from our veterinarian regarding his injury:
"Wesleyan was examined on 11/18/24. Radiographs were performed, and revealed an old bilateral injury to the hips. Wesleyan should be able to have a good quality of life with the injury, but it is recommended to keep him at a healthy weight and use dietary fiber to prevent constipation. There is a possibility of osteoarthritis in his future."
Wesleyan has no problem walking, running, or using the litter box. He can also jump quite well, although not quite as high as most cats of his age, which might not be such a bad thing! He would understandably prefer not to have his back end touched, but doesn't react aggressively.
Wesleyan is 1-2 years old, and has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. His adoption fee is $250.
