Meet Wally
Wally (full name: Walter White) came to PBJ all the way from Doha, Qatar, where a kind American rescued him as a young stray cat. She knew he had previously been someone's (abandoned) pet because of how friendly he was! She reached out to PBJ to see if we could assist her in finding him a home in the US; we said yes, and she made all of the arrangements/covered all of the costs to fly him to DC.
Wally is a very unique individual (in a good way ;o) with a big PURRsonality. He's very talkative, curious, intelligent, interactive with people ... he loves to be in the middle of lots of action! He needs a lot of play and visual stimulation (e.g. watching birds out the window) to keep from getting bored., but also enjoys lounging in the kitchen while you cook, curling up on a cat tree, and napping nearby if you work from home. He works out his "zoomies" every evening by having a few minutes of playtime with his foster family where he can chase a feather or laser toy before winding down for bedtime.
Wally is a big purrer ... he purrs a ton when you scratch his head and jaw ... he'll even be purring to himself while sitting on the couch next to you! He isn't a lap cat yet -- too much youthful energy -- but he does allow you to pick him up like a baby, and swings by to rub up against you and get petted. He very social with new people, coming out to meet and greet anyone who visits his foster home.
Wally also loves dogs! While in his Qatar foster home, he always wanted to cuddle with the family's dog, groomed her on the head, and gave her head butts. He also pounced on her fluffy tail. He's not crazy about sharing his home with other cats though, and so he is best suited to an adult/older children home as a single cat (ideally with an optional doggie friend).

"Sweet Wally is such a love bug ... he gives kitty kisses! He absolutely LOVES people, but is obviously wanting to be the king of his own castle. If our other cat weren't intimidated by him, we absolutely would adopt him without a doubt. He truly is an amazing and absolute loving kitty cat."
Wally is estimated to be between 1 - 2 years of age.
Bottom line: if you are looking for a friendly, talkative, entertaining, high-energy yet mellow in turns kitty boy to join your home/family, Wally's your guy!
DID YOU KNOW THAT PBJ HAS A TRIAL FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PROGRAM? With this approach, you welcome a PBJ cat into your home on a foster basis and spend several weeks getting to know him/her before making the decision to adopt (like test-driving a new sports car for several weeks before signing on the dotted line. ;-)
