Meet Valentina

Hi, I am Mama Valentina, and what couple of weeks I have had! A lovely group of volunteers was working on a TNR (trap-neuter-return) project. They trapped me (which was very scary), and had an appointment to get me spayed the next day.
Well can you imagine their (and my) surprise when they came in to take me to my vet appointment and I had three babies with me! By this point I had already been moved twice. Within 24 hours I went from a life on the streets, to being trapped, to giving birth to three happy and healthy kittens. The volunteers that trapped me were not set up to be able to foster me and my babies and find us a home. They immediately began looking for a rescue to take us in and give us a safe place to lay our heads. That's when we arrived at Juniors Fund. At this point I was extremely stressed and very, very scared. I hid in a box for two days. Wouldn't eat, drink, use the litter box or take care of my newborns. Luckily my foster hu-mom took over for a few days and cared for my babies. I was grateful she understood that I just needed some time to decompress, she even took the babies out of the room for a day or two so she didn't have to come in every two hours and stress me out. She never pressured me, or forced me to do anything. Within a few days she could see I was starting to relax. It was great to have my babies back, and I immediately went into mama mode!

I am a quiet and shy girl, who is looking for a furever "cat" mom or dad. My ideal human is someone who will give me the time and space to come out of my shell. I am sweet and gentle and food motivated. My foster mom is convinced the way to my heart is through chicken and churru treats!

While it has been scary being trapped, moving into three foster homes, and having babies, we have known love at every step, and it is so nice to have a warm, cozy, safe place to take care of my littles! My babies sleep and eat ALOT! Right now all of my time, attention and energy goes towards taking care of them, but they are starting to ween and already running around like crazy kittens. We are beginning to for our furever families. I would absolutely love to go home with one of my babies. Although we are not quite ready to go home, we would love to help pick out our new families, so that as soon as my babies are big and strong enough we can all start living "happily ever after" Please complete an application to learn all about us, and have pick of the litter for our "Gotcha Day" in mid April!.

I am incredibly sweet and gentle and promise to be a loyal and faithful forever companion. Juniors Fund is waiving my adoption fee If I am adopted with one of my babies, and I qualify for a reduced adoption fee if adopted alone. Applications are now being accepted for our adoption.
