TOE-KYO Extra-Toes Cat / Hemingway Polydactyl Grand Rapids, MI

How do we summarize this tantalizing tabby in the most succinct way? Easy-peasy:

- he's everybody's favorite
- he's VERY playful
- loves humans
- is laid back and just a happy guy

This is a mini-bio that will have to tide everyone over until the author here gets ahold of a bit more free time:
Toe-kyo was named for being the epitome of polydactyl perfection! He was a FIV+ transfer from Al-Van Humane Society, where he was taken in on December 18th, 2023. He had a nasty ear infection upon arrival to use, and also needed a dental cleaning with many teeth extracted, though the latter in itself isn't too surprising given his viral status and the fact that I think he is about 5 years old, but the big kicker was that he had a non-healing bite wound on his rump that needed surgical intervention. He cruised through his procedures like the champ that he is, and soon made it over to Crash's where he took the place by storm!

Why hasn't he been scooped up already if he is Mr. Wonderful, as we state? Well, he also had internal parasites known as coccidia, so we needed to get that sorted out before we started singing his praises publicly, AND we never put our residents up for adoption until they have been with us a minimum of 4 weeks. We follow this tried-and-true protocol so we can monitor their health, both physical and mental, to insure that each cat is in tip-top shape before packing his bags and heading out that door:)

Word around the shelter is that a volunteer and her family may have spoken up and claimed him, but he is too cute not to post - and boast - about!
