Thea and Nyx Domestic Short Hair Seattle, WA

Meet Thea and Nyx, a wonderful pair of bonded kitten siblings! They are approximately 3 months old.

Thea and Nyx are sisters! Thea and Nyx were found living outside with 8 of their siblings and no one to look after them. ACP found and rescued their whole litter and Thea and Nyx have been settling into life as happy, indoor kitties in their foster home ever since.

Thea is a beautiful and sleek all-black girl with giant green eyes and the sweetest face. Thea loves cat scratchers, ball tracks and towers, and chasing toys. She especially likes ping pong balls and other toys where she can bat them around and chase them! Thea loves treats and mealtimes. She especially loves squeezy treats (like Churu or Delectables). She will crawl onto your lap for them and will lick it right off your finger!

Because Thea lived outside without people for the beginning part of her life, she can be shy and skittish. She is a very sweet girl with so much love to give but she needs people to be gentle with her and take the time to gain her trust. When she’s comfortable with her person she loves to be pet and will purr like a motorboat and rest her head in your hand for scratches behind her ears. Thea will still need more time to trust humans and will need someone willing to help her and her sister settle into a new environment with love and patience. Given that, Thea will blossom into a friendly and affectionate cuddle bug in her forever home.

Nyx is a gorgeous tuxedo girl with a white smudge on her chin and an adorable white chest and socks to match! She has the tiniest hint of a white diamond marking on her forehead! She is absolutely gorgeous and so photogenic. Nyx loves den-like beds for naps. In her foster home, she has a cave bed and a crate with a soft blanket and Nyx thinks both these places are excellent options to curl up with her siblings for a snooze. Nyx loves dangly and jingly toys and loves to bat around the ones that hang from the ceiling! She likes to chase feather wands and is enchanted when we put on cat TV on the projector for her! She will gently reach for the mice and birds scurrying across and then stretch and jump to get to them! Just like her sister, because Nyx lived outside without people for the beginning part of her life, she can be shy and skittish.

Nyx finds comfort in hidey holes and will hang out and observe until she feels safe and comfortable to come out for treats or playtime. When Nyx first came to ACP she was undersocialized and very scared. She has made amazing progress in learning to trust people! She gets closer and closer to us every day and with time and patience her playful kitten side will come out and she will continue to get braver and more confident in her forever home. We are so proud of Nyx!

What Thea and Nyx are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They can get nervous, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them feel comfortable with new experiences.
- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active playtime.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- Thea and Nyx were raised in foster with their 3 siblings and they all played and snuggled well together. We haven’t seen them with other adult cats apart from a few glances.
- Thea and Nyx have not had any direct interaction with dogs but they have smelled their foster parent’s dogs through a baby gate and heard their barks.
- Thea and Nyx have not had exposure to children in their foster home, but they can be startled by loud noises and sudden movements and need time and gentleness to open up to people. We think an adult-only home would be best.

All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
