Meet Tara
Tara was a left behind in a house with her sister, a bag of cat food, and some water, when her family was evicted. Unfortunately, the landlord didn’t enter the house for a month. They were rescued and brought to Darby’s Place Cat Rescue. She spent a while at the rescue recovering from the experience and recently transferred to a foster home. She has really blossomed here, and is working hard to learn to trust us!
Tara loves to sit on the couch with you in a cozy blanket. She also enjoys looking out a window to watch all the worlds fascinating sites. When she’s not snoozing, Tara is zipping around the house playing with all of her mouse toys! She gets the zoomies quite often and bounces around like the fun loving girl she is! However, we think Tara would do best in a quieter, cat-savy home. She has come such a long way and truly bonds to those she trusts. If there is another cat in the home, Tara would love a respectful, cat that minds her space. As with almost all cats, she likes other cats when she has an appropriate transition. Tara is doing excellent with her kitty foster brother and wishes he was more playful at times. Tara has also been doing amazing with her very respectful canine foster brother. A home with a respectful dog is necessary.
