Meet Sydney

Hello, my furiends! Say hello to our furry friend - Sydney! Almost 1 year old, this long-haired dilute calico is full of kitten energy - best described as a playful, lovable ball of fluff! Sydney adores getting attention from humans - you cannot walk by her cage without those fluffy laws reaching out for some pets! Sydney is a little bit sassy and a whole lot silly - she loves a good chase and playtime is all the time. She can be a food goblin. We ask that her food bowls not be left out all day because she will devour anything you put in it. Sydney is a chatty calico and can be found sitting in goofy positions. She is an excellent groomer and takes pride in looking her best for potential meet and greets.

Sydney enjoys the company of other cats, and she would be OK in a home with other feline friends. She has not been exposed to dogs or other animals, and respectful children would be OK. Because Sydney enjoys people so much, she would either need another cat in the home or, if her new human worked from home, she would like that very much!

Thank you for being so interested in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If you see this post, we still accept applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). Please refrain from emailing us regarding availability.

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet beforehand to permit the release of records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
If renting, the landlord's contact information must be provided so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based in Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently conducting virtual home visits until further notice.

**Please note: Our volunteers try their hardest to contact every applicant in a timely manner but are often overwhelmed with a high volume of applications. Please allow up to two weeks for a response. We ask you to please be considerate and refrain from sending multiple follow-up emails or submitting duplicate applications.
