Meet Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is a 2-year-old female who gave birth to 4 kittens in April, and she and her lovely family are all looking for their forever homes!

Sweet Pea is a friendly, sweet, calm and petite girl (not even 7 pounds). She will need time to relearn how to “cat” again, after being such an attentive young mother. She hasn’t shown any interest in toys to date, and we have not observed her have the zoomies, but that could all change as her new life as a spayed kitty evolves. She enjoys curling up next to you for strokes and head/chin scratches—she has a sweet temperament with no signs of aggressive behavior at all.

This tiny little lady enjoys exploring, grooming (herself, her kittens, her fosters), getting the latest neighborhood action via Window TV, chewing on WoLover Silverline Sticks, and being up high on cat trees to observe the scene around her.

Sweet Pea loves to eat with her kittens twice a day and is eager to explore and interact with the other cats in the house every chance she gets. She uses the litter box well.

She currently lives in a home with two adults and two 5-year-old cats. Sweet Pea and her kittens have their own room that they primarily live in, but Sweet Pea is allowed to roam in the house for hours while we are home. This has been a great socialization tool for everyone. She lets us know when she is ready to re-join her room/kittens.

Sweet Pea's ideal home would be one that is quieter and lower key, given her energy level. She would do well in a home with 1-2 other calm, friendly cats as well as humans who like to cuddle and show plenty of affection.

Over the last month or so, she has had an off and on upset stomach that we believe is due to eating too-rich food that is better suited for her kittens. We are trying new food as well as Fortiflora to help regulate her belly. This does not affect her spirit at all and should resolve once she is on some simple adult cat food that can help with digestive issues.

Sweet Pea would love to be adopted with one of her kittens—especially Peapod or Gus who both have inherited her chill factor. She is wonderful with other cats and with gentle children.

If you’d like to add this beautiful mamma and 1-2 of her lovely kittens to your home, please consider adding the beautiful Sweet Pea to your family.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
