SUNSHINE
Sunshine is the biggest female kitten. I named her Sunshine when I saw the beautiful orange streak in her tabby face and she made me smile when, by purring loudly, she showed me she was glad to let me hold her when I stroked her soft and fluffy tabby fur. If interested in Sunshine please email cats@shamrockpets.com. Foster Laura Wasz
When seven kittens were brought to me from a backyard feral cat community, at 3 months old, they had never been handled by people except when they were captured and taken away from their mothers.
They had traveled in a large carrier in the back of a car for three hours. It was obvious that they were tired, hungry, thirsty and frightened.
I had a small room ready for them with food, water and places to hide.
When they had rested I began to get to know them.
Tiny as they were, they were each quick to defend themselves with hissing and squirming when I gently picked them up to introduce myself. Young as they were, they knew how to use their sharp little claws and teeth.
After days of coaxing and soft petting of cheeks and necks like Mama cat would do, they began to trust me. As I handled them, each personality was revealed and I couldn't resist naming them.
