This loving young cat is named Stubbie. Stubbie is about 2 years old. The girls at the vet named him that because some of his tail is missing :-(. We just found out that Stubbie is diabetic, sadly this is most likely the reason he was dumped. He will require insulin shots twice a day. The insulin is inexpensive however we realize this is a commitment. (see below for more health information). However, HE IS WORTH IT!!! Stubbie is a couple of years old and has the most beautiful gray and white markings. He was found in a box at the vets front doorstep that was all taped up with duct tape. How scary that must have been for the poor guy to be dumped and in a dark hot box. He was already neutered and declawed so someone did care for him at one time. However he is a little dirty and very thin, along with his tail injury, this little guy has had a hard life. HOWEVER THAT HAS NOT AFFECTED HIS SPIRIT!!! STUBBIE IS THE SWEETEST MOST LOVING CAT!!!!!!!!! He is soooooooooooo affectionate, friendly, sweet, I cannot say enough good things about him. Stubbie has a pretty mellow, laid back, adaptable personality so we think he would adapt to most any living situation. He is fine with other cats and we tested him with a small dog and showed no fear. And as you will witness in his video he is great with kids. With his gentle nature and no claws he would do well in a home with children of any age. I am happy I have the opportunity to find him a loving home where he can now be SPOILED the rest of his life. Sadly if we do not find a home for this guy soon, he will have to be euthanized. Please do not let his illness keep you from coming by and meeting this amazing cat. His adoption fee has been waived.
Health Status: Stubbie has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. He is diabetic and being he is very new to the vet clinic, they are still working on his insulin dosage. He only started on insulin 7/06/13. Currently he taking Pelion novolin 70/30, 2 units, twice a day. This insulin can be purchased at Walmart for $25 and will last Stubbie 4 months. He is eating Science Diet dry but I am told LOVES wet food! Being he is such a good boy, he does well being examined by the vet.
