Meet Spooky

Spooky - Male - Approx. 2 years old
When Spooky isn’t modeling as the world’s most sought after feline necktie model, you’ll find him playing and snuggling with his kitty friends and humans. He’s a 2 year old boy full of energy and love and he’s looking to share it with a forever family of his own. He came to the rescue as an anxious boy with an overgroomed belly, but he’s since traded the naked look in and his belly fur is growing in nicely! “The naked look was better suited for a sphynx cat anyway”, he said in his latest interview with GQ Magazine. With a little love and patience, he’s flourished into a happy and inquisitive boy who loves to ask for love with his famous “Spooky flop”. When he wants some love and cuddles, he’ll march right up and flop over on his side. Who could resist? He even loves a good, gentle belly rub. Please note: He’s comfortable with his masculinity and prefers to be the little spoon during cuddles.

Spooky is on Prozac once a day for his anxiety and overgrooming. He first came to us quite withdrawn and shy but he clearly wanted to be loved, evident by his purring . But he didn’t know how to ask for love and we are so happy that he’s learned it’s safe for him to seek out love. While he may not need to be on Prozac for life, we feel he would do best continuing with the medication until he is fully adjusted to his new home. After the adjustment period, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian for future medication management. Spooky may not need Prozac forever or he may need it for life, and both possibilities are okay! We would like any potential adopters to feel the same way. His Prozac is an oral pill form and he happily takes his meds hidden in a treat. His medication currently comes out to about $15 a month.

He has excellent litter pan habits, and gets along well with other cats with a proper introduction. He loves to use his cardboard scratching posts, and loves to be brushed.
