Meet Soxy

*Soxy is special needs* This sweet girl just can't seem to catch a break. She came into foster after living on the streets. She was recently diagnosed with a condition called stomatitis. "Stomatitis in cats is a painful inflammatory condition affecting the oral cavity, specifically the mouth, gums, and back of the throat. It's characterized by severe inflammation, ulceration, and pain, often causing cats to avoid eating or groom themselves. While the exact cause is unknown, it's believed to involve an overreaction of the immune system to plaque or other irritants in the mouth. Managing stomatitis involves addressing the inflammation, pain, and potential infections. This can include medications like antibiotics and steroids, as well as pain relief measures. In some cases, dental procedures like tooth extractions may be necessary. " She has already had 13 teeth removed. As if that wasn't enough, at the young age of one year, she has been diagnosed with stage one renal disease.
Soxy likes to be petted but she does not like to be held. She gets along with kittens, mature cats, and small dogs. She is Vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and FELV/FIV tested (negative). Call Soxy’s foster mom Dori for more information or to meet her – 520-226-5657). Perhaps your heart is big enough to give this sweet girl the loving home she deserves.
