Sophie Domestic Short Hair Anoka, MN

Hi! I’m Sophie, a 1 year-old, female, domestic shorthair. I am a beautiful girl with a gorgeous black and white, shiny coat and the sweetest pink nose. My fosters found me wandering around on their property. When they introduced themselves, I was SOO happy. They picked me up and I let them know how much I liked their pets with lots and lots of purrs. I was so happy to be offered food and shelter and all kinds of love! After visiting the vet, I finally got to meet my foster fur friends. The big goofy dog LOVES me but I haven’t really decided how I feel about him. I am not a big fan of the resident cats yet and I hiss at them so they keep their distance. My foster thinks I’ve had some bad experiences with other cats when I lived outside.

I continue to love my foster family’s attention, have learned how to play, and have been well behaved in their home. I love, love, love human cuddles I especially like when a human sits down long enough to let me lay on their lap. I wish they would never get up. I love to talk. My mews are loud and strong when I see my human fosters. I want to make sure they know how much I love them. I stretch up and cuddle into their chest and face and let them pet me as much as they want. They seem to really appreciate it.

The Kitten’s Cradle normally require kittens to be adopted in pairs or into a home with another young kitty. My foster believes that I could be adopted by myself if a family has lots of time for me. They also believe that, with extra time and support, I could warm up to a cat or dog sibling, if they are patient.
