I apologize - I’m just a little shy right now and I know it shows in my pictures. It’s hard when your whole world is turned upside down, and you are 5 years old and don’t know what is happening. Hi, my name is Slate. I am a 5 year old male and I’m in my shy and adjusting stage right now, as I just got to the shelter the end of September and everything is new and confusing and a little scary, as I don’t know why I’m here. Like many adult cats, who have had their world turned upside down, it’s a scary and confusing time. Even though I am a little shy now, don’t let that fool you…. I am a sweet boy who enjoys petting and the staff/volunteers also picks me up, and it feels so good and makes me happy. I want to feel safe and secure and then my loving personality will come shining though, please just give me a chance. Am so handsome and I am gentle and loving,. I just want to get out of the cage and shelter into a loving quiet home. I do get along with other cats, not sure how I’d do with a friendly dog. I would like a home on the “quieter side, as you can probably gather. Please come meet me and bring me to your forever home for me..

Currently, visits to the shelter are by appointment only for approved applications, so please fill out an application, then email it into us .
