Six precious babies had been taken to a shelter that didn't have the resources to care for them and they were slated for euthanasia; we were able to pull them at the last minute! On arrival in foster care the kittens were very confused and uncertain and they needed some time to adjust to their much improved circumstances. One by one they gave their trust and their sweet snuggly personalities emerged. Now they are happy playful fun-loving kittens who love their toys and the people caring for them! With all of his siblings adopted, Slate is more than ready for his forever people to find him!

Slate held back for a while and then turned into a brave explorer! He liked to follow the resident cat around trying to play with him and even started to "scout" out the resident dogs. Slate loves wand toys and a good cat pile at nap time. He is a sweet and handsome fellow who enjoys your attention and likes to have friends and companionship.

Slate needs a kitty friend. With a proper introduction to other cats and dogs he does well. The same applies for children: it took some time for him to adjust to the 3-year-old grandson, but then he started chasing the wand toys he'd hold.
